Presenter Information
Sue Woodward and Caren Eigenmann are the co-owners of Childgarden Preschool & Discoveries in Port Moody, BC. Our image of the child aligns with one of the underlying principles of Reggio Emilia, in which we see the child as “rich in potential, strong, powerful, competent, and most of all connected to adults and other children” (Malaguzzi, 1993, p.10). Both Sue and Caren are recipients of the Prime Minister’s Award of Excellence in Early Childhood Education in 2012 and 2017 respectively.
