Weaving With Loretta (IN PERSON)

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: During this hands-on FUN workshop participants will be guided through the process of weaving ropes so as to share the process in their ECE Classrooms. All materials will be provided.

 

BIO: Loretta Williams is a proud member of the Tsawwassen First Nation, located on the beautiful shores of Coast Salish Territory in Tsawwassen, BC.Loretta has been weaving since the turn of the Century – weaving cedar products such as roses, headbands, hats and undergarments. Loretta also weaves baskets with pine needles collected from her territory. She has been learning to weave in the traditional way with sheep’s wool.
