This interactive workshop will help childcare providers understand anxiety and how it presents in young children. An overview of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) will be provided, and attendees will learn basic strategies and techniques to help children manage anxiety. Discussions about working with parents and collaborating with mental health professionals will also be included.

Christine has worked extensively in the field of anxiety, both as a researcher and a practitioner. She completed her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at UBC and is currently working as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice and at a non-profit agency. In addition to individual and family therapy, Christine also conducts workshops and presentations about childhood anxiety for schools and parent-groups in communities around the Lower Mainland.
