Participants will learn about social emotional development in children and youth and how extra support needs can influence development. Participants will also learn about inclusive social emotional learning and considerations for adaptation.

Bio: Karen has over 25 years of experience working with children from birth to nineteen years of age in childcare and community settings. Throughout her career her focus has been on inclusion for all children. She is a licensed Early Childhood Educator, Infant/Toddler Educator and Special Needs Educator. She is a certified Community Resiliency Model® Teacher, Hanen Learning Language and Loving It® Teacher and MEHRIT Centre Shanker Self Reg® Facilitator. Karen is passionate about creating safe spaces where all children are welcome, and she uses skills from these certifications and lived experiences to achieve inclusion for all.
