Sensory-motor development in the first years of life sets the foundation for healthy brain-body growth. Using movement–based intervention can assist in addressing disabilities or delays. The developmental movement cycle aids in a child’s ability to focus, pay attention, recuperate and modulate emotionally. Ongoing physical literacy and interpersonal skills allows them to be successful learners.
In this interactive and experiential seminar, participants will discover ways to support self-regulation in children ages 1 – 5 through an understanding of:
- Neuro-motor movement patterns and their connection to learning
- The self-satisfaction action sequence
- Simple, fast and fun movement-based activities
