This information session will cover Module 3 of the Early Learning Framework Collaborative Learning in your Centre. Attending this session will help you decide if this training opportunity will fit in your child care centre.
Note: this Community of Practice is area specific to the Cowichan Valley CCRR geographic region.
Sasquatch Clan Gatherings Community of Practice
– During this module participants will work together to implement the Communication and Literacies portion of the Early Learning Framework (ELF). You will do this though listening, critical reflection, collaborative dialogue and pedagogical narration plus implementing suggested activities with your children.
This is a novel learning opportunity for which participants will receive 4 hours per month for a total of 12 hours professional development.
– For an additional 1.5 hours of professional development and joy, teachers are invited to participate in a monthly Community of Practice by ZOOM with a Mystery Guest and Mystery Gift.
COP Zoom Sessions – 6:00-7:30 October 7 – November 18 – December 9
Each Child Care Centre will be gifted a Community of Practice (COP) Kit.
Your COP Kit contains a Collaborative Learning Activity guide for each teacher plus inspiring books, and materials to help with classroom activities and learning.
