One of the most common struggles for child care providers is dealing with “challenging behaviours”, in many cases, caused by stress. In this workshop, presenter Rishma Dhalla will explore common stressors for young children and how they are typically manifested. She will provide concrete strategies for you and the children in your care to manage the behaviours more effectively.
Suitable for all early learning professionals and parents.

Rishma Dhalla has been a registered Occupational Therapist in British Columbia for the last 25+ years. She has worked in many settings, from acute care to long-term care, in the public and private health care systems. Rishma has experience in public health and health promotion and has a strong passion for prevention, working for 15 years in seniors’ fall prevention and 8 years in stress management. Rishma is now a solo practitioner in BC with her own OT private practice called OT4Life. Through her focus on stress management, Rishma has had opportunities to provide workshops for child care providers across BC, to ensure that the prevention of stress can begin as early as pre-school through mindfulness strategies and so much more!
