The workshop will present an overview of the stress-response system in young children, explore factors that derail typical development and provide strategies to respond to children’s behaviour through a trauma-sensitive approach. We will examine the MCFD Toolkit for dealing with Domestic Violence in early childhood, and practice techniques to create a safe, healthy environment to support child care providers and children.
