Research has shown that self-regulation is one of the key life skills related to learning, as well as emotional, social, and physical well-being. From taking turns to expressing their big emotions appropriately, infants and toddlers need learning assistance, practice, and support from early childhood educators. During this workshop, early childhood educators will be introduced to their crucial role as co-regulators while discussing the development of regulation. We will additionally explore different strategies to meet an individual child’s needs based on tackling the different levels of a child’s brain.
This workshop is designed for early childhood educators, especially those who work with infants and toddlers in group child care settings.
