Through the workshop, participants will understand positive and adverse childhood experiences and their impact on lifelong development. Moreover, participants will explore strategies to build resilience, mitigate and prevent ACEs. Finally, participants will understand positive childhood experiences and how this understanding could help in building resilient individuals and communities.

Rose (Rawan) Dallasheh, the Community Health Specialist supporting the work around Adverse Childhood Experiences in Ridge Meadows - Fraser Health Population and Public Health/ Healthy Living. Rose has a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Waterloo and has experience as a Health Promotion and Education Coordinator with the Algonquin College for Arts and Technology and as a Project Management Specialist with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) managing the implementation and monitoring of a $42 million (USD) health communication project. She is also a wife and mom of two children.
