Pedagogical Narration & Documentation Networking Night

In-Person Thursday April 3, 2025 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

During this evening session, ECPN pedagogists Lu Jiang and Mateja Dolnicar will explore the role of pedagogical narration in shaping curriculum that is deeply responsive to children, educators, and communities. Rejecting one-size-fits-all documentation techniques, they will share examples from their own work and the broader Early Childhood Pedagogy Network, demonstrating how various methods—video and audio recordings, photographs, and children’s drawings—can serve as traces that make children’s thinking visible. Through these practices, they invite educators to consider how documentation can open spaces for meaningful pedagogical decision-making and foster collaborative relationships with families and childcare communities.

Note: To receive a certificate, providers must attend the ECPN session
