Come join Wanda Edgar as she shows you different ways to bring literacy into your children’s life with literacy boxes! You’ll find all sorts of fun ways to develop your own theme literacy boxes for your center.
Following this presentation, you will make a literacy kit to take away and use in your centre and enjoy some light refreshments.

Wanda Edgar is Cherokee descendent on her mother’s side and English on her father’s side. She was raised on Nuxalk (friendly people) territory, Bella Coola B.C. Married to Gary Edgar from Nuxalk Nation, they were blessed with two active boys. She now lives in Burnaby (Musqueam, Squamish and Tseil-Waututh territory). Working at Spirit of the Children Society as an Aboriginal Supported Child Development Consultant. She has been in the human service field working with children and families for 17 years now. Wanda has many passions but one of them is to show others how to bring joy to children’s lives with literacy!
