In this workshop, participants will be introduced to key child care
financial management roles, responsibilities and concepts.
Participants will have hands-on opportunities to analyze high-level
financial statements, explore real-life examples of financial
challenges facing the sector, and work collaboratively to apply
their knowledge to ‘building’ a publicly-funded child care system.
Workshop goals include:
1. Increased understanding of child care financial management
roles and responsibilities
2. How the financial challenges facing the sector today can be
addressed by building a publicly-funded system such as the Community Plan for a Public System
