SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) is an inclusive term that involves all of us. Come explore and deepen your awareness of gender, terminology and applicable approaches in an early learning context. This is an interactive, hands-on workshop in a welcoming, judgement-free environment where you can ask questions, collaborate and explore how to make our learning spaces more inclusive for everyone.

Riley McMitchell is an educator and curriculum coordinator with the Coquitlam School district. He has presented workshops for school districts, community organizations and university graduate studies programs on a variety of topics including early and critical literacies, Inquiry-based learning, Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) through music and inclusive teaching practices. He holds a Masters of Education and a post-graduate diploma in literacy from Simon Fraser University.
