The primary focus of this workshop will be to examine the design of educational spaces and how our sensory experience of it informs the patterns of our practice.
Interior systems such as the layout of the space, objects, texture, colour and light inform how we use the space and play a significant role in how we engage in learning processes.
We will discuss ways of designing circumstances and creating spatial flow that is intentional and meaningful for both
individual experience, collective dynamic, and one that facilitates relational ways of being.
Objectives:
• Understand how the space navigates and influences the movement and quality of engagement.
• What to focus on when arranging the educational space.
• What are interior systems and how to work with them.
• Ways of communicating meaning and intention through the use of space and objects
