To best serve the children we support, at times we need to have challenging conversations with the parents and caregivers. Despite our best intentions and efforts, these conversations don’t always go the way we hope. We may feel afraid to share difficult news, feel unsure about whether our observations and feedback are welcome or worry that our boundaries won’t be honoured or respected. Join us as we explore how to discern what needs to be shared, learn how to prepare ourselves (and our nervous systems) for these conversations and grow our ability to access the empathy needed to support families during these conversations.
