Are you interested in providing family support for Indigenous fathers in a culturally grounded group setting?
The BC Council for Families is pleased to offer this new virtual training as a series of three two-hour workshops. It is designed to provide a foundation for starting a relevant and meaningful service that will engage and support Indigenous fathers in a group model.
Participants will gain insight into historical issues facing Indigenous fathers and how they are re-discovering their roles and responsibilities. The workshop will also focus on the impact of residential schools and colonization, research on Indigenous Fathers engagement and how to plan, facilitate and sustain a group.
