This two-hour workshop will focus on tips, tools and discussion on how to help children prepare for their psychosocial and physical needs during crisis and emergencies.
Participants will explore how to help families and children plan before and during emergencies. The discussion will explore some of the challenges related to resiliency and recovery following an emergency. This will be done by sharing lessons learned and best practices.

Carolyn is President of Strategic Business Risks Inc. (SBRI). Who delivers customized emergency management planning, response goals and education. She has been an instructor at the Justice Institute of BC for more than having 20 years. She is presently instructing in the Emergency Management Division as well as the Centre for Counselling and Community Safety | School of Health, Community and Social Justice. She has over 25 years of professional and practical experience in the areas of emergency management, critical incident management, crisis response, and recovery. Carolyn is passionate about ensuring all first responders and frontline workers have the courage and confidence to work within and to maintain psychologically safe and healthy workplaces.
