This workshop will introduce to participants to the importance of preparing and planning for emergencies, critical incidents and disasters in their home, community, and workplace. Participants will apply their learning to an emergency exercise that includes testing personal and professional preparedness to respond to emergencies while enhancing capacity resilience.

Presenter Information
Carolyn is President of Strategic Business Risks International (SBRI) who deliver emergency management, crisis response and educational solutions to public and private organizations. She has developed and delivered customized emergency planning & preparedness training for many communities and industries nationally and internationally. Training includes unique skill building techniques and tools for critical incident response and recovery. She has been an instructor at the Justice Institute for 25 years. Instructing in the Emergency Management Division as well as the Centre for Counselling and Community Safety | School of Health, Community and Social Justice. Carolyn has more than 25 years of professional and practical experience in supporting people and communities impacted by trauma, disasters, and public health emergencies.
