A special training event hosted by New Westminster Children’s Centre and the YMCA CCRR
During the evening, we will discuss typical vs. atypical speech and language milestones and pre-reading literacy. Paige will also provide tips and strategies on promoting strong language in the classroom.

Paige Griffiths
Presenter Information
Paige has over 10 years of experience working with children and their families. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of South Florida, in Tampa, FL. Paige holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She has experience working with a range of age groups, and has specialized in the early years (birth to 5). She has worked with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation/phonological disorders. Her favourite communication tools are books and play-doh! Supported Child Development Consultants at the New Westminster Children’s Centre have collectively over 50 years of experience working with children of all ages in different settings. The SCDP works with families who have children with extra support needs and their child care providers to facilitate inclusion in the community. We support families with the complex task of caring for and planning for the future with their children.
