We will explore and design dramascapes, or scenarios that invite children to pretend and create stories, with a combination of materials and affordable artifacts that engage children with their aesthetic perceptions and awe. In addition, we will discuss practices of responding to what emerges in their exploration.
Suitable for parents and all early learning and child care professionals.

After teaching in Brazil, Elaine found her passion educating young children when studying E.C.E. at Vancouver Community College. In the last 25 years, she has taken many different roles in the field of early learning, including teaching young children and adults in a variety of contexts. She currently teaches early childhood education at a local university and is an enthusiast of Reggio Emilia pedagogy. She received a Masters of Arts in Education from Simon Fraser University, where she is currently pursuing a PhD.
