In this workshop participants will play with designed play scenarios with toy figurines and animals, recycled materials and background images, escaping to beaches, forests and magic spaces.
Elaine found her passion educating young children when studying ECE at VCC. Elaine has taken many roles in the field of early learning in the last twenty-five years. This includes teaching young children and instructing adults in a variety of con-texts, such as college courses and workshops about inquiry-based learning through the arts and sciences, clay, wire and dra-ma. She currently teaches early childhood education at a local university. Elaine is an enthusiast of Reggio Emilia pedagogy. She received a Masters of Arts in Education from Simon Fraser University, where she is currently pursuing a PHD.
