Description:
Participants will learn about child development and how to identify and support differences. They will discuss and practice objective documentation and how to have those difficult conversations with families when a concern is identified. Participants will learn how to develop partnerships with families by exploring their priorities, values and backgrounds.

Karen LeSage
Presenter Information
Karen has over 25 years of experience working with children from birth to nineteen years of age in childcare and community settings. Throughout her career, her focus has been on inclusion for all children. Karen is a licensed Early Childhood Educator, Infant/Toddler Educator and Special Needs Educator. She is a certified Community Resiliency Model® Teacher, Hanen Learning Language and Loving It® Teacher and MEHRIT Centre Shanker Self Reg® Facilitator. Karen is passionate about creating safe spaces where all children are welcome and she uses her skills from these certifications and lived experiences to achieve inclusion for all.
