Creative Dance Experiences for Preschool Children
Children love to dance! This workshop will take educators through age-appropriate movement elements and show you how to incorporate dance into your day. The first portion of the workshop will get participants comfortable dancing themselves and with children, as well as stretching comfort zones in relation to the idea of incorporating and presenting dance activities to children. We will understand the many movement possibilities that come from linking story and images with movement through experiential learning, and how dance as an expressive medium has the power to engage the body, mind, and heart. Exercises, games, and story dances will be shared along with music playlists. You will leave prepared and inspired to dance with your little ones, so come ready to move!
