October 2, Part 1: Invitations to play are simply setups of toys, play materials, loose parts, art materials etc. organized to provoke creativity and open-ended play. This hands-on, fun and practical workshop looks at how to create invitations to play. This workshop will provide many examples and resources that will spark anyone that works with children with new ideas and inspiration.
October 16, Part 2: More ideas on setting up your environment with invitations to play. This workshop will give you the opportunity to explore with many examples that show you how to set up play that invites children to explore, investigate, question, examine, touch, and feel. You’ll leave with ideas and resources to help you set up invitations to play in your child care environment.

Vicki Lepper operated a licensed child care in Coquitlam for over 30 years and is a passionate child care advocate. Vicki was a board member for BC Family Child Care Association (BCFCCA) from 2011 to 2015. Vicki presents her own workshops, is a “Kids Have Stress Too”- Trainer for The Psychology Foundation of Canada, a “Good Beginnings: Professional Development for Child Care Providers”-Facilitator for BCFCCA, a member of the Tri-Cities ECD Committee, networks with child care providers, received many awards and is also actively involved in her community. Vicki loves connecting and sharing resources with those who have chosen a career working with children.
