About the Workshop:
Unresolved conflict can have an unhealthy impact on both children and adults, creating a negative learning environment for all involved. This workshop will guide educators through practical strategies to teach children in managing conflict, as well as provide tools for resolving conflict within the workplace.
This workshop will cover material that is applicable in both Early Childhood and School-Age environments.
About the Facilitator:
Cecily Genner (she/her) is currently completing her practicum studies in the School of Social Work at the University of Victoria with a specialization in Child Welfare. She has worked in School-Age Child Care at Jericho Kids’ Club for eight years and is a passionate advocate for continued education in the field. Along with her experience in childcare, Cecily brings with her a commitment to social justice through anti-oppressive and decolonizing practice.
