Community of Practice

Brief Description of event: Community of Practice, We call ours the Learning Circle we will be reading the book Reimaging heartbreak an educator’ s journey to reclaim whole -heartedness by Shelley Brandon. We will meet starting in December and ending in May. We will meet the 2nd Thursday on the month at the Best western . A community of Practice is a group of people who “share a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly” ( Etienne Wenger) The idea behind a COP is that through the process of sharing experiences and knowledge with others, we enable dialogue among members and begin to explore new possibilities and new ways of doing something. To offer opportunity for self -reflection, a deeper understanding of our practice over a sustained period.
