Collaborating with Families: A Journey Co-Creating Supportive Relationships with Families – In-Person Workshop

Early childhood educators interact daily with primary caregivers, parents, grandparents and guardians. These interactions increase our capacity to understand and meet the needs of individual children in our care and provide opportunities to build supportive relationships with families. Engaging with parents can feel daunting particularly if there is conflict, it can also feel inspiring and fulfilling knowing you are having a positive impact in the life of a family. We will explore the value of partnering with families; discuss internal and external influences on these relationships and practice strategies for co-creating supportive partnerships with families.
