We know from the research that children’s later success in life, in school, and throughout their adult life, is influenced by early life experiences. Ellen Galinsky’s talk will inspire parents and caregivers to think about child development in a new way and to explore ways to develop essential executive functions through their daily interactions with the young children in their care.
Ellen Galinsky is an award-winning, best selling author of over 40 books, including Mind in the Making: The Seven Essential Life Skills Every Child Needs. Galinsky is able to synthesize research in a way that makes it accessible and relevant to educators, and families alike. Her ground-breaking classic Mind in the Making will be a stepping stone for this memorable evening.
Ellen’s talk will be followed by a Q&A with a panel of representatives from the child and family serving community. A cash bar reception and book signing will complete the evening.
