An ongoing in person professional development opportunity – Join us for Creating Conditions for Slow Pedagogies in Early Childhood Education
The Early Childhood Pedagogy Network, Thompson Rivers University and Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia invites all early years professionals in the Tk’emlups/Kamloops region to join a monthly reading and conversation circle.
Together we will read Slow Knowledge and the Unhurried Child by Alison Clark with a focus on how thinking with slow pedagogies might help us to transform early childhood education in our local contexts.
Monthly gatherings – 3rd Tuesday of each month 6:00pm to 8:00pm. These events will alternate between the Early Childhood Education Building at TRU and the John Tod Centre Y.
Professional development hours: 30, to receive a Pro D certificate participants will engage with the online forums in the B.C Early Years Hub and other traces of learning activities. More information will be available at the first gathering 0n Sept 19th.
