How to Use What Brain Research Tells Us About Learning and Behaviour – In Person Workshop

During this workshop, we will examine the main findings on brain development, age-related differences, and the assimilation of boys and girls. After viewing this information, participants will examine strategies to use when working with children, based on brain research. While not all boys are the same or girls all the same, research indicates there are some generalities and patterns that are worth considering. We will touch on this and more throughout this workshop.

Questions we will consider include:

How can we use what we know about learning styles to best relate to children?
70% of learning and behavioural disability designations are boys- what does this tell us?
Are girls emotionally stronger than boys?
What is the best way to deal with a child who is upset?

Presenter: Bruce Ivany

There will be a 30 minute lunch break, please bring a bagged lunch.
