Pedagogy as a Relational Practice: The Entanglements of Materials, Rhythms and Routines in Early Childhood (Part 1)

In-Person June 5, 2023 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Join us for one or both sessions of a two-part professional development opportunity hosted by three ECPN Lower Mainland community pedagogists. Both sessions will feature discussions about pedagogy as a relational practice.
The first session on June 5 will consider how commitments matter in building pedagogical relationships and how they connect to the daily rhythms and flows of early childhood spaces.

The second session on June 12 will build on the conversations from the first session by sharing concrete examples of pedagogist work with educators and children. The examples will highlight how purposeful engagement with materials helps us to live our pedagogical commitments in centres.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to register for each session that you wish to attend. Maximum of 25 participants in each session. The event is in person for educators who live or work in city of Vancouver. Light dinner will be provided. Participants will receive 1.5 hours of ProD hours for each session they attend.

This event is organized by Early Childhood Pedagogy Network (ECPN).
